Role and responsibilities:
This is a full-time remote role for an Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting clients in their everyday bookkeeping needs, processing invoices, bank reconciliations, and managing other accounting activities in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, the Assistant Client Accountant will work directly with the clients to address any queries and provide ad hoc support as required.
Review Stat accounts, VAT, Tax, and management accounts,
Provide advice, coaching, and share your technical knowledge with junior staff.
Review and calculation of self-assessments
Review of VAT returns for clients on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Review of monthly/quarterly management accounts with supporting schedules and reconciliations.
Preparation of statutory accounts & corporation tax/CT600.
Qualifications & requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of UK practice experience
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, & FreeAgent
A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent communication and customer service skills
An ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
A minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Benefits:
22 days holiday per annum plus normal UK bank holidays
Upto 200% annual salary Bonus (paid out 6 monthly)
