Day-to-Day work :

- Will be focused on developing reports within Revenue Management app: The reports will use Python and SQL queries. The output will be generated into Python and plugged into an existing framework

- More maintenance work for 6 months

Must have skills:

Python

Detailed/advanced SQL (we have joins across 10 tables at times) 

Linux

AWS (our team is using ec2, RDS, Redshift), SQL Alchemy

Job Description: 

The Python Backend Developer will develop, test, debug and document software components /reports

• As part of a group, review and analyze process, system and/or data requirements and specifications.

• Review and contribute to component designs for a project, product and/or program.

• Build, test, deploy, and document software components of a project, product, and/or program level solution.

• Interface with other team member/teams in peer review of requirements, specifications and software.

• Participate in the collaborative resolution of defects.

• Participate in internal process improvement initiatives. Provide feedback on processes by offering suggestions.

• Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.

Qualifications:

• Roughly least two (2) years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.

• Demonstrated expertise in Python, Object Oriented, Linux and database technologies/concepts which resulted in deployment of enterprise quality solutions.

• Past experience with developing enterprise quality solutions in an iterative or Agile environment.

• Emerging written and verbal technical communication skills.

• Knowledge of Python programming language required.

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills required.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Linux systems.

• Past experience with Git or Subversion.

• Familiarity with AWS preferred.
